| The
tsunamis that ravaged Southeast Asia on December
26th, 2004 had a devastating impact on the island
nation of Sri Lanka. More than 47,000 dead, 888,000
homeless, 1.5 million displaced from their homes,
8,200 injured, and 16,000 still missing. And the
worst is yet to come. Disease and more deaths are
inevitable due to the contamination of clean water
and food. The effects of those horrendous tidal
waves will be felt for years to come. |

This golf tournament is one of several events planned
to help in the relief and rebuilding efforts. All contributions
will be used ONLY for the sole purpose of providing
the basic life necessities (drinking water, food, clothing,
shelter) to those in Sri Lanka that lost those basic
needs within a half-hour when the tsunamis struck.
100% of your generous contributions, with NO administrative
cost, will be immediately diverted to the most needed
disaster areas through Kande Vihara. Kande Vihara has
been established as a disaster shelter in Sri Lanka
for those in desperate need.
Please note that since the Florida Buddhist Vihara
Inc. is a non-profit, tax exempt 501(c)(3) corporation
your donations are tax deductible.
We truly appreciate your efforts in publicizing this
