| Dhamma School | A nation’s destiny is entrusted upon its progeny. Therefore, the national responsibility of inculcating refined morals in children must be borne by schools and religious institutions alike. This obligation is indeed heralded by Florida Buddhist Vihara’s Sunday school program. The program addresses the following aspects of religious education. Use fundamentals of the Dhamma, exemplary stories and adages extracted from Buddhist literature, in order to impart knowledge of Dhamma while setting the foundation for enlightened careers. Provide a practical understanding to instill ethical social values. Implant virtuous qualities such as nonviolence, mutual cooperation, gratitude, environmental conservation, respect of elders and will to attend to the ailing. introduce national, cultural and societal obligations to children and their reflections on their very own lives and hence pave the way for nurturing of scholastic as well as livelihood skills. effectively use audio – visual equipment to direct the younger generation toward a moral upbringing in the midst of a religious environment, in keeping with parental wishes.
Sunday Dhamma school is open for children every Sunday morning at 9.00 A.M |
